It was a supreme battle in the 4A Volleyball State Championship match on Saturday in Casper with the two #1 seeds facing off as defending champ Laramie took on Kelly Walsh. Laramie entered the match at 32-1 with a tall and talented front line with a pair of Division I signees. Tessa Dodd has committed to Oregon and Michon Sailors headed to Fresno State. Kelly Walsh was the only team to beat Laramie during the regular season and the Trojans have been a hard-hitting team all year. They had a returning All-State player in Kendall Allaire with Lillian Hudson, Jordan Kroeger, and Gia Ireland providing additional power.

Laramie won the first set 25-21, and the match got even closer as it went on. Kelly Walsh won the key second set 25-22 and rallied at 23 all to win the third set 25-23. KW rebounded from 4 points down in the fourth set and took the state title 25-23. The Trojans got major contributions from everyone on the court to win their 2nd state title in 3 years; winning their last crown in 2022. They finished the year 32-3.
