Darren Provost of Campbell County has come a long way in wrestling and capped his prep career with a grueling 6-5 decision over Sheridan's Kolten Powers in the 4A 120-pound championship match on Saturday in Casper. It was an evenly matched bout with these 2 guys splitting their 4 matches during the season. Provost finished the season 34-3 and gave the Camels their first individual champion since 2017.

Back in his sophomore year, Provost made it to the 4A 113-pound championship match before losing to Antonio Avila of Thunder Basin who ended up being a 3-time state champion. He had a solid season nevertheless going 25-8. Provost did qualify for the 2020 4A State Tournament as a freshman and went 1-2 at 106 pounds with an overall record of 22-8.
