Cross-country...whether it's on dry-land or on snow, it doesn't matter to one Jackson Hole HS athlete.

Anna Gibson, a senior at JHHS, placed first in the women's 10K under-18 division of the cross country Junior National Championships held in Lake Placid, New York.

The 4-time Wyoming High School Nordic Ski State Champ, and 4-time Wyoming Coaches Association All-State honoree, crossed the line with a time of 33 minutes 59.7 seconds, winning by 6.9 seconds.

Gibson is also a 2-time Wyoming High School Cross Country State Champ (2014 and 2016) 2-time Gatorade Runner of the Year in Cross Country (same 2 years) and placed 4th at the Nike National Cross Country National Meet in December 2016.

The 2-time All-State honoree in Track and Field will be heading to Brown University, to compete in cross-country and track and field.

Abby Brazil of Jackson also competed in the cross country ski meet, placing 52nd overall.
