American Legion Baseball teams are in Week 14 of Wyoming’s 2024 season. The week begins with numerous conference doubleheaders. Then, tournament action takes over the weekend. Douglas and Gillette have tournaments for A-level teams, while Cheyenne has a Double-A tournament for the second straight weekend. The Gillette Riders and Rock Springs Stallions head to tournaments in North Dakota and Idaho, respectively.

MONDAY, JULY 1:

Final Score: Casper Drillers 11 Gillette Rustlers 5 (conference game) - a 5-run 5th followed by a 3-run 6th clinched it for the Drillers. J. Pexton had 2 hits & 2 RBIs, and Speiser added 3 hits & 1 RBI.

Final Score: Gillette Rustlers 12 Casper Drillers 1 (conference game) - the Rustlers built a 6-0 lead and pulled away. Schilling had 2 hits & 2 RBIs. Hecker added 2 hits, and Craig 2 RBIs.

TUESDAY, JULY 2:

Final Score: Spearfish (SD) Spartans 4 Casper Oilers 3 - the Spartans scored 2 in the bottom of the 7th to win. Casper had scored 3 in the top of the 7th to take the lead.

Final Score: Casper Oilers 8 Spearfish Spartans 1 - Oilers win a rain-shortened game. They scored 2 runs in each of the first 3 innings. Pexton had 3 hits & 1 RBI.

Final Score: Laramie Rangers A 11 Buffalo Bulls 8 (conference game) - Laramie used an 8-run 5th inning to take the lead for good. Parvin had 3 hits & 3 RBIs.

Final Score: Laramie Rangers A 12 Buffalo Bulls 11 (conference game) - Lotzer's single in the 6th broke the tie. Laramie took advantage of 9 walks and overcame 6 errors.

Final Score: Powell Pioneers 10 Riverton Raiders 1 (conference game) - leading 3-0, the Pioneers scored 6 runs in the 5th to clinch a road win. Fauskee had 3 hits (2B) & 2 RBIs. Johnson added 3 hits & 1 RBI.

Final Score: Powell Pioneers 16 Riverton Raiders 14 (conference game) - Powell jumped out 6-0. Riverton scored 11 runs in the 2nd. Powell scored the next 10 runs and held on. Johnson homered, had 3 hits & drove in 3. Queen added 3 hits (2-2B) & 4 RBIs. Baker, Martin, & Kihn homered for Riverton.

Final Score: Torrington Tigers 3 Casper Drillers 2 (conference game) - down 2-1, Torrington scored 2 in the 7th for the victory. An error led to the 2 runs. Kramer had 2 hits.

Final Score: Casper Drillers 8 Torrington Tigers 3 (conference game) - a 6-run 6th inning by the Drillers gave them a road split. Rimmer had 4 hits & 1 RBI. J. Pexton added 3 hits & 1 RBI.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 3:

Final Score: Cheyenne Eagles 7 Buffalo Bulls 4 (conference game) - Eagles were led by Hassler with 1 hit & 2 RBIs.

Final Score: Buffalo Bulls 9 Cheyenne Eagles 5 (conference game) - Cheyenne had a 3-2 lead until the Bulls scored 5 runs in the 4th inn and didn't give up the lead after that. Jawors had 2 hits & 3 RBIs for Buffalo.

Final Score: Sheridan Troopers 9 Laramie Rangers AA 2 (conference game) - the Troopers scored 7 runs in the last 2 inns for the win. Maestri had 3 hits & 3 RBIs for Sheridan.

Final Score: Laramie Rangers AA 14 Sheridan Troopers 13 (conference game) - Laramie went up 6-2 after the 1st inn, Sheridan tied it in the 3rd. Rangers strike back with 2 runs in the 4th and 3 in the 6th. Troopers score 7 runs in the top of the 7th inn to take the lead 13-11. Rangers score 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th to win it. Malone had 4 hits & 5 RBIs for the Rangers, including the game-winning 2 RBI double. C. Hamrick had 3 hits & 3 RBIs for the Troopers, Phillips added 3 hits & 3 RBIs.
