Welcome to Week 7 of the Wyoming Legion Baseball season in 2024. One postponed conference twin bill in AA is on the slate this week. The first big tournament is this weekend in Rock Springs, as the Stallions host the Southwest Series from Friday through next Monday. Six teams are involved from the state. Some 9-inning games are on the schedule during the week before another busy weekend of action on Saturday and Sunday.

MONDAY, MAY 13:

Final Score: Riverton Raiders 16 Douglas Cats 8 - the Raiders took the lead with 11 runs over 3 innings. Riverton had 21 hits led by Baker with 5 hits (2B) & 4 RBIs. Anderson added 3 hits (2B) & 3 RBIs.

Final Score: Cheyenne Sixers 7 Laramie Rangers 0 (conference game) - Williams tossed a 1-hit shutout with 12 strikeouts for the Sixers.

Final Score: Cheyenne Sixers 5 Laramie Rangers 0 (conference game) - George throws a 1-hit shutout with 16 Ks.

Final Score: Green River Knights 14 Rock Springs Stallions 4 - GR scored 10 runs in the 4th and finished the game early with a run in the 5th. Lail had 2 hits & 2 RBIs. Lee added 1 hit & 3 RBIs. The Knights took advantage of 11 walks & 3 errors.

Final Score: Gillette Rustlers 15 Spearfish (SD) Spartans JV 5 - the Rustlers expanded a 4-1 lead with 5 in the 4th and closed it out with 6 runs in the 8th. E. Hecker had 3 hits (2B, 3B) & 2 RBIs. Newman added 2 hits (3B) & 4 RBIs.

TUESDAY, MAY 14:

Final Score: Evanston Outlaws 12 Rock Springs Stallions 2 - a 4-run 4th followed by 6 runs in the 5th helped Evanston end the game early. Kaman had 2 hits (2B) & 3 RBIs. Oliver added 2 hits & 2 RBIs.

Final Score: Westco Zephyrs (Scottsbluff, NE) 11 Torrington Tigers 3 - Zephyrs took control with a 7-run 3rd inning. Hibben had 2 hits & 1 RBI for the Tigers.

Final Score: Cheyenne Eagles 13 Westco Express (Scottsbluff, NE) 2 - 8 run by the Eagles over the last 2 innings ended the game in the 6th. Vines had 2 hits & 2 RBIs.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 15:

Final Score: Jackson Giants 14 Rock Springs Stallions 0 - a 6-run 5th helped the Giants pull away. Olnhausen & Garcia had 2 hits & 2 RBIs. 3 pitchers combined on a 1-hit shutout. Morales had 12 Ks.

Final Score: Cheyenne Sixers 8 Laramie Rangers AA 3 - a 3-run 2nd inning put the Sixers in front for the win. Garrett had 2 hits & 3 RBIs.

Final Score: Rapid City (SD) Post 22 Hardhats 8 Gillette Riders 7 - 2 runs in the 8th pushed the Hardhats past the Riders.

Final Score: Rapid City Post 22 Expos 6 Gillette Rustlers 2 - Expos scored 1st and led from the start.

Final Score: Westco Zephyrs (Scottsbluff, NE) 17 Douglas Cats 7 - the Zephyrs jumped out 13-0 and closed it out in the 7th.

Final Score: Rock Springs Stallions 14 Riverton Raiders 13 - Stallions jumped out 14-5 and held on for the win. Zotti had 3 hits & 1 RBI. Ice added 2 hits & 2 RBIs. Anderson had 2 hits & 3 RBIs for the Raiders.

SATURDAY, MAY 18:

Final Score: Rapid City (SD) Post 22 Expos 5 Cheyenne Hawks 1 - The Expos built a 5-0 lead and allowed only the 1 run for the Hawks in the 7th.

Final Score: Rapid City Post 22 Exops 4 Cheyenne Hawks 1 - the Hawks had an early 1-0 lead, but the Expos scored the final 4 runs of the game.

Final Score: Cody Cubs 8 Lewistown (MT) Redbirds 3  - the Cubs surged in front with 5 runs in the 6th. Bailey had 3 hits & 4 RBIs for Cody.

Final Score: Lewistown Redbirds 12 Cody Cubs 6 - a 5-run 2nd gave the Redbirds the lead for good.

Final Score: Miles City (MT) Mavericks 29 Buffalo Bulls 7 - the Mavericks led 13-7 and scored 16 runs in the last two innings.

Final Score: Chadron (NE) FNBO Nationals 9 Torrington Tigers 7 - Chadron trailed 4-0 but scored the next 9 runs.

Final Score: Torrington Tigers 11 Chadron (NE) FNBO Nationals 4 - the Tigers scored 7 runs in the last two innings for the split. Hibben had 2 hits & 2 RBIs.

Final Score: Billings (MT) Cardinals 3 Sheridan Jets 0 - the Jets managed only 3 hits.

Final Score: Billings Cardinals 18 Sheridan Jets 8 -  in the last 3 innings, the Cardinals scored 12 runs. Lamb had 1 hit & 2 RBIs for the Jets.

Final Score: Casper Drillers 14 Miles City (MT) Outlaws 4 - the Drillers scored 9 runs in their last 2 at-bats and closed it out early. Galles & Johnson had 1 hit & drove in 3 runs apiece.

Final Score: Jackson Giants 6 Riverton Raiders 3 - the Giants jumped out to a 5-0 lead and held off Riverton. Wiley & Olnhausen had 2 hits & 2 RBIs apiece.

Final Score: Rock Springs Stallions 7 Evanston Outlaws 6 - the Stallions won on a walk-off error. RS took advantage of 9 walks.

Final Score: Laramie Rangers AA 9 Jackson Giants 3 - down 2-0, the Rangers scored 9 straight for the win. Moore had 2 hits (3B) & 2 RBIs.

Final Score: Laramie Rangers AA 14 Rock Springs Stallions 2 - the Rangers scored 13 runs over 3 innings to pull away. Schriner had 2 hits & 3 RBIs. J. Moniz had a double & drove in 3.

SUNDAY, MAY 19:

Final Score: Rapid City Post 22 Expos 10 Cheyenne Hawks 0 - the Expos scored in 5 of the 6 innings.

Final Score: Casper Oilers 11 Miles City (MT) Outlaws 1 - an 8-run 4th put the Oilers in control. Devaraux had 2 hits & 3 RBIs.

Final Score: Casper Oilers 17 Miles City Outlaws 15 - Casper jumped out to an 11-2 lead and held off the Outlaw comeback. Christensen had 3 hits & 1 RBI. 3 other Oilers drove in 2 runs.

Final Score: Cheyenne Sixers 5 Rapid City Post 22 Hardhats 3 (8 inns.) - a pair of RBI singles by Seelye and Reisdorfer in the 8th provides the winning margin for the Sixers on the road. Seelye had 2 hits & 2 RBIs.

Final Score: Cheyenne Eagles 3 Rapid City Post 22 Bullets 2 - a wild pitch scored the winning run for the Eagles after a hit batter, single, and intentional walk loaded the bases.

Final Score: Billings (MT) Expos 7 Sheridan Troopers 6 - a run in the 6th was the difference for the Expos.

Final Score: Sheridan Troopers 4 Billings Expos 1 - a 3-run 5th helped Sheridan gain a split. Hutton had 2 hits & 2 RBIs for the Troopers.

Final Score: Bozeman (MT) Bucks 8 Cody Cubs 7 - Bucks scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th and won on a walk-off single.

Final Score: Bozeman Bucks 7 Cody Cubs 5 - a 5-run 4th inning put the Bucks in front for good. Carlson drove in 2 runs for Cody.

Final Score: Evanston Outlaws 11 Jackson Giants 1 - Evanston exploded for 10 runs in the 3rd for the win. Osborne had 2 hits & 3 RBIs and got the win on the mound.

Final Score: Laramie Rangers AA 16 Evanston Outlaws 1 - Rangers scored 10 runs in the 1st and need just 2.5 innings for the win. Moore had 3 hits & 3 RBIs. C. Moniz added 2 hits & 4 RBIs. Hoyt allowed 1 run on 1 hit with 5 Ks on 39 pitches.

Final Score: Jackson Giants 8 Rock Springs Stallions 5 - the Giants scored all their runs in the 1st two innings and held on. Olnhausen had 2 doubles & 3 RBIs to lead Jackson.

Final Score: Laramie Rangers AA 15 Green River Knights 0 - the Rangers scored multiple runs in all 4 innings. Schriner had 3 doubles & a triple & 4 RBIs. Chavez & Malone combined on a 3-hit shutout with 11 Ks.

Final Score: Rock Springs Stallions 9 Green River Knights 1 - the Stallions scored 7 runs in the 2nd & 3rd innings to break it open. They used 4 walks, 7 errors, 4 stolen bases, & 1 hit batter to their advantage. Ice allowed 1 run on 4 hits.
