
Douglas’ Teigen Boyson Commits to Tabor College for Baseball
Teigen Boyson from the Douglas Cats American Legion Baseball team will continue his career on the diamond at the next level after recently signing at Tabor College. Boyson was a first-team all-conference selection this year after being a second-team all-conference pick in 2023.
Boyson had a .358 batting average for Douglas during the 2024 season. He finished with 58 hits, which was second on the team. Boyson had seven doubles, one triple, and three home runs. He had 30 RBIs, scored 57 runs, and stole 36 bases. Teigen went 4-5 pitching this season with one save. He threw 33.2 innings and had an ERA of 6.446. Boyson helped the Cats to a 28-21 record and fourth-place finish in the ‘A’ East Conference.

In 2023, Teigen’s batting average was .337. He had 59 hits, which included seven doubles and four triples. He drove in 31 runs, scored 62 times, and finished with 28 stolen bases. Boyson was 3-1 as a pitcher with two saves. He helped Douglas to a 35-15 overall record. The Cats qualified for the state tournament and went 2-2, losing to eventual champion Powell.
Tabor College is in Hillsboro, KS. The Bluejays compete at the NAIA level in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC).
