Cody catcher and centerfielder Jace Jarrett has signed to play college baseball at Dawson Community College in Glendive, MT. An all-state selection in 2023, Jarrett earned his third all-conference honor earlier this week at the Single-A level of Wyoming Legion Baseball. He was a unanimous choice for first-team all-conference.

Jarrett has a .387 batting average and 60 hits during the 2024 season. His on-base percentage is at .531. He has 20 extra-base hits, which includes 12 doubles, five triples, and three home runs this season. Jace has 35 RBIs, scored 79 runs, drawn 45 walks, and struck out only 19 times. Jarrett’s also stolen 27 bases. He has also pitched 15.2 innings this year across 11 appearances. Jarrett has a 2-2 record with one save and a 5.809 ERA. His fielding percentage is at .987 for the season. Jace has helped the Cubs to a 36-19-1 record in 2024, and Cody is preparing for the Wyoming American Legion Baseball Class A State Tournament that starts on Saturday in Powell.

Jarrett has been part of two state championships with the Cubs in 2021 and 2022. They were runner-up in 2023.

Last year, Jace hit .396 with 65 hits and 57 RBIs. He had 22 extra-base hits and 24 stolen bases.

Jarrett was part of Cody High School’s Class 4A state champion 4x100 relay that set a school record in May at the state track meet. He also played football and basketball for the Cody Broncs.

Dawson Community College competes at the NJCAA level of college athletics. The Bucs are in the Mon-Dak Conference.
