Gillette’s Karver Partlow Chooses Jamestown for Baseball
Gillette Riders senior Karver Partlow will be playing baseball at the next level. He signed at the University of Jamestown in North Dakota. Partlow will play his fourth season as a Rider in 2025. The three-time all-state selection, Partlow has played on two state runner-up teams and one Northwest Regional runner-up squad. He has won 25 games on the mound over the last three seasons.
Partlow had an impressive 9-3 record as a rookie in 2022 with 52 innings pitched. He finished the 2023 season at 7-3 and tossed 72 innings with a 2.33 ERA. Last year, Partlow was 9-7 with two saves over 74 innings pitched. He also played at first base and hit .290 in 75 games.
Riders Coach Nate Perleberg said of Partlow’s signing,
“Karver is the perfect example of what being a Rider is all about. Whether it be academically, athletically, or as a leader in the community, Karver excels in all areas. He is such a genuine, down-to-earth guy, whose personality and sense of humor permeates to everyone around him. He can be counted upon to always bring his very best to everything that he does.”
He added, “On the baseball field over the last 3 seasons, Karver’s been the epitome of consistency. On the mound, he has won an impressive 25 games in 3 seasons. He’s had so many big moments for us, especially in big games. I love watching him pitch and how methodically he goes about his craft. I will never forget the game he pitched in the 2023 NW Regional against Pocatello, Idaho. He has an extremely high ceiling and is going to be a force for Coach Hager’s Jimmies. Karver’s frame, along with his pitching IQ and overall stuff, will project well at the collegiate level.”
Jamestown coach Tom Hager likes the fit that Partlow provides his program. “We are very excited to welcome Karver into the Jimmie Baseball Family. He is a first-class individual who has proven to get it done on the field and in the classroom. Riders Baseball has prepared Karver for the next level and we look forward to seeing him in a Jimmie uniform.”
Partlow is the 62nd Rider to sign collegiately under Coach Perleberg. He will graduate from Thunder Basin High School in the spring.
Jamestown competes at the NAIA level of college baseball. They will transition to NCAA Division II and Northern Sun Conference in the fall of 2025.
