Pinedale basketball standout Elyn Bowers will continue her career at the next level after recently signing with Eastern Washington University. Bowers is a three-time all-state performer for the Wranglers. Entering her senior season, Elyn has scored 1,556 points in her prep career. That is the 30th-most in Wyoming High School girls’ basketball history.

Bowers led the state at an average of 24 points per game in her junior year during the 2023-24 season and was the 3A West Region Player of the Year. She shot 49 percent from the field and 79 percent at the free-throw line. Bowers scored a career-high 41 points in a game twice last season against Evanston and Thermopolis. She added 6.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and three steals per game. Bowers made 16 field goals versus Thermopolis on Feb. 16, 2024, which was the fifth-most in a game last season. Her eight three-point field goals against Evanston on Dec. 15, 2023, tied for the most in a single game last year. Elyn helped Pinedale to an overall record of 22-4 and a third-place finish at the 3A state tournament. The Wranglers won the 3A West Regional in 2024 and the 3A Southwest Conference Quadrant at 5-1.

As a sophomore in the 2022-23 season, Bowers averaged 20.5 points per game. She shot 44 percent from the floor and 83 percent at the charity stripe. Pinedale went 20-7 that season and qualified for the 3A state tournament. In her freshman season of 2021-22, Bowers averaged 14.8 points per game for the Wranglers and helped them qualify for the 3A state tournament. She shot 46 percent in games and 78 percent at the free-throw line.

Bowers has scored 25 points or more in a game 20 times during her high school career. That includes nine games of 30 or more points. She has also played golf at PHS and earned all-state honors in the fall 2024 season.
