Christensen won seven individual state championships over her four years of high school swimming. She won the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly races three times each. Christensen took home first in the 200 free in 2018, 2019, and 2020. She finished atop the podium in the 100 fly in 2018, 2019, and 2021. Her other individual win was at the 2021 state meet in the 200 individual medley.

The senior set a new state record with her victory in the butterfly race at this year’s state championship. Christensen touched the wall in 55.62 seconds. That surpassed the old mark of 56.01 from 2010.
