Big Horn Volleyball Post-Match Remarks

A year ago, Big Horn defeated Burns for the 2A Volleyball State Championship with a team that featured a trio of All-State players. In 2024, Emme Mullinax was a returning All-State performer and Maui Orum was a returning All-Conference selection. The Rams molded a team around those two getting contributions from numerous players and it was that cohesiveness that allowed them to beat rival Tongue River for the 2A Title in 4 sets in Casper on Saturday.

Big Horn has led the way in 2A Volleyball in recent years with three state championships and a 2nd place finish in the last 4 years. There's continuity in the program that has led to sustained success. The Rams posted 4 wins over a good Tongue River team this season which wasn't easy. We talked with Emme Mullinax and Maui Orum after their big win at the Ford Center and yes, they had a plan.
