It's been an outstanding athletic year for Buffalo High School and the boy's basketball team played their part with a 3rd place finish at the 3A State Tournament in Casper. The Bison finished the year 22-4 with two all-state players, Aaron Thiele and Tyce Dahlberg. Thiele averaged 15 points a game and Dahlberg 10. Buffalo started out-state tournament play with a 64-51 win over Pinedale as Dahlberg had a sensational game with 21 points with Dawson Hatch contributing 18. Hunter Peterson had 11. In the 3A semi-finals, Buffalo lost a tough 66-64 decision to Powell. Thiele was amazing in that contest with 28 points on 12-21 from the field. Dahlberg had 12 points and 10 rebounds. In the 3rd place contest, Buffalo downed Wheatland 56-43, outscoring the Bulldogs 37-12 in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. Thiele led the way with 21 and Luke Glassock had 10. The Bison had some exceptional athletes this season but had only 3 seniors on the basketball team. That being Thiele. Glassock and Dahlberg. Next year's group will be senior-heavy with 7.
