Mountain View was looking for a return trip to the 2A championship game, The Buffaloes were at home on Friday afternoon to meet Burns, a team making their first postseason appearance in 6 years. Mountain View got out of the gate quickly with a 2 yard run for a score from Braeden Walk which was followed by Walk throwing a 41 yard Td pass to Ashton Schofield, so the Buffs in business leading 14-0

The 2nd quarter was evenly played a Burns finding the end zone thanks to a 1 yard run from Kaden Lakin but Mountain View responded to a 3 yard run for a score from none other than Braeden Walk so at halftime, the Buffaloes led 21-6

Walk seemed to take the game over by himself in the 3rd quarter with a pair of 27 yard runs for touchdowns and then a 40 yard run for a score from Kimball Madsen. The Buffs led 42-6 after 3 quarters of play. Mountain View added a 1-yard touchdown run from Briggin Bluemel and Bluemel came through with a 38-yard interception return for a touchdown. Burns did counter with a TD from Logan Leriwick but it wasn’t enough as Mountain View wins it big 56-12. The Buffaloes at 10-0  get a rematch with Buffalo in the 2a title game at noon on Friday at War Memorial Stadium. Burns ends the very good season with a record of 7-3.
