Casper Oilers Baseball Regional Preview [VIDEO]

For the first time in 23 years, the Casper Oilers American Legion baseball team are Wyoming State Champions and will play in the AA Northwest Regional in Lewistown, Idaho beginning on Wednesday.

The Oilers are 45-16-1 and will meet Idaho Falls, Idaho to start the tournament. The Idaho Falls Bandits are 51-5-1 on the year.

Casper went 5-0 in the state tournament with wins over Cody, Sheridan, Gillette, Laramie, and Jackson. That win over Gillette was something special as the team scored 5 times in the top of the 7th inning to erase a 2- run deficit.

We caught up with Oiler players Brooks Browning and Lane Fanto about winning the state tournament and very challenging regional tournament ahead in the video above.
