Cheyenne Central distance runner Bridger Brokaw has put on a lot of miles in his prep career and will add to his mileage total as he will run for the University of Wyoming track and cross country teams.

Brokaw has made exponential progress in cross country after finishing 33rd at the 4A State Meet as a freshman back in 2020. He was 7th in the 2021 State Meet with a time of 16:50, 5th in 2022 as a junior in 16.29, and 10th as a senior in 16.38.

In his junior season of outdoor track, Brokaw was solid at the 4A State Championships in Casper with a 2nd place finish in the 800 with a clocking of 1.55.67, 4th in the 1600, 8th in the 3200 and his 4x800 meter relay team placed 3rd.

In 2022, the Central 4x800 relay won the 4A State championship in 8.09.35. Brokaw placed 9th in the 800 at State and 10th in the 3200. In his freshman year, he placed 8th at the State Meet in the 3200 and 13th in the 1600.

Brokaw also has excelled on the indoor track circuit as he took 2nd place in the 4A 800 at the 2023 State Meet in Gillette, 4th in the 1600, 7th in the 3200, and his 1600 sprint medley team won the 4A state championship.

Back in 2022, Central won the indoor state championship in the 4x800 and individually, Brokaw took 2nd in the 800 and the 3200 with a 7th place finish in the 1600.
