PhotoFest! Cody Rolls to Another 3A Football Win
Cody has been operating on all cylinders in 3A football so far this season and upped their record to 3-0 with a huge 49-10 win over Buffalo on Friday. Cody also rang up 49 points vs. Douglas in the 2nd game of the season and put 47 on the board in their season-opening win over Riverton.
Buffalo started the scoring in the first quarter with a field goal and Cody quickly answered with a one-yard touchdown run from quarterback Maddax Ball to put the Broncs in front 7-3. Cody took off in the 2nd quarter with a remarkable 5 touchdowns starting with a 10 yard run for a score from Owen Petersen, then Trevor Spomer returned a blocked punt for a TD, which was followed by a 35 yard run to the end zone and another 1 yard run for six by Ball. The Bronc 2nd quarter barrage ended with a 20 run for a touchdown from Owen Monfeldt.
Myles Hensely added a TD catch for Cody in the 3rd quarter and Buffalo's lone touchdown came from Adam McCorkle who ran it in from 6 yards out. Cody will have their rivalry game at Powell on Friday while Buffalo will be in the road in Rawlins. The Bison are 2-1 after wins over Newcastle and Jackson to start the season.
