PhotoFest! Cody Dominates Torrington in 3A Football Playoffs
Cody has been a tough customer in 3A football for years it seems and the Broncs flexed their muscles yet again with a resounding 63-6 victory over Torrington in round one of the 3A football playoffs. The Broncs moved the ball at will and deployed a stifling defensive effort.
Grady McCarten was a monster for the Cody offense with 2 touchdown runs, covering 2 and 71 yards plus he caught a 40-yard TD pass. Owen Peterson turned in a 36-yard run to the end zone and then reeled off a 61-yard tear. Owen Monfeldt scored twice and quarterback Maddax Ball threw 3 touchdown passes, to Trey Smith, McCarten, and Chase Hatch. It was a pretty impressive performance all the way around.
Cody now goes to Douglas for their 3A semi-final game on Friday and the Broncs posted a big 49-0 win over the Bearcats during the regular season. Torrington wraps up the year with a record 5-5.
