It went down to the last second, but for a state championship, a Buckaroo's only made basket made the difference.

Dion Ealy scored on a put-back with 1 second to go, as Kaycee (25-3) defeated Burlington (22-4) 57-56, to win their first 1A state title since 1999, and stopping the Huskies' 5-peat bid.

Two players scored a double-double for the new 1A State Champs...Nicholas Aragon (15 points, 10 rebounds) and Mark Largent (12 points and 11 rebounds).

Hunter Rouse added in 12 for the cause.

Burlington also had 2 players score in double digits...Dontae Garza (27 points, 12 rebounds) and Dallin Davidson (10 points, 12 rebounds).

In the 1999 win for Kaycee...they beat Burlington in the championship game.
