Douglas Invitational Volleyball Tournament [VIDEO]

11 teams took part in the Douglas Invitational volleyball tournament on Friday and Saturday, so this was a great way to start the season. In the gold bracket, Jackson defeated Buffalo 2-0 and Pine Bluffs beat Torrington 2-0 in the semi-final round. In the consolation, it was Douglas over Burns 2-0 and Glenrock beat Wright 2-1. So Pine Bluffs ended up winning the gold bracket over Jackson 25-23 and 25-19. Torrington took 3rd with a 25-20, 28-25 and 15-12 win over Buffalo. Douglas defeated Glenrock 25-13, 23-25 and 15-7 for 5th place while Wright won the 7th place match over Burns 25-21 and 25-18. In the silver bracket on Saturday, Wheatland won 2 matches with victories over Hot Springs and Southeast. Newcastle won twice, posting wins over Hot Springs and Big Horn.
