Big Horn had plenty of offensive weapons in football in 2023 as the Rams marched to the 2A State Championship game. One of those ingredients was Drew Heermann who was a big force running and catching the football. That kind of versatility has earned him a spot with the Northern Arizona University football program.

Heermann was an All-State selection in 2A this past season with 379 yards rushing and 5 touchdowns plus he caught 19 balls for 202 yards and a score. Heermann also ran a punt back for a TD and was in on 28 tackles on defense with 3 interceptions.

Heermann also made All-State as a junior with 5 rushing touchdowns, 4 receiving touchdowns,  28.5 tackles on defense with 2 picks. He also served as a captain for the Ram football team.

He also played basketball for Big Horn and has been averaging 6 points and 6 rebounds per game this season. Northern Arizona is a Division I FCS school that competes in the Big Sky Conference. The Lumberjacks went 5-6 last season.
