The Farson-Eden boys basketball team needed some heroics from Hagan Jones to win the 1A State Championship back in March. His 3 pointer in overtime gave the Pronghorns a 57-54 win over Encampment. In the state tourney, Farson started out with a 48-28 win over Lingle as Lain Mitchelson and Colby Jones threw in 11 each. The Pronghorns knocked off Cokeville in the semi-final round 46-40 thanks to outscoring the Panthers 15-4 in the 2nd quarter. Mitchelson had 16 in the game and threw in 17 in the state championship contest. He was named all-state averaging 21 points and 10 rebounds per game. Farson received contributions from just about everybody in a uniform and did all this with one of their star players, Clancy Gines missing a vast majority of the season with an injury. It was the Pronghorns first state title since 1998.
