All-State awards in high school football were announced last week by the Wyoming Coaches Association, and five players achieved a very extraordinary accomplishment with that honor.

Per All-State records with the WCA, these five players received this award for the third time in their careers. All five were on a playoff team in 2023. Two of them led their team to an appearance in a state championship game.

Also, this year’s group is all from Class 1A. They are listed alphabetically.

Cooper Frederick – Wind River

Quade Jordan – Encampment

Seth Maxson – Little Snake River

Joseph Pina – Meeteetse

Wyatt Trembly – Dubois

WyoPreps extends our sincerest congratulations to all these players.

Thirty-six players earned the second award of their career. Four were juniors this year, which means they have an opportunity to join this elite group of players next year.

Two freshmen received an all-state award. They were Raynce Brott of Lusk and Landon Hatheway from Newcastle.

Only three football players have been named all-state four times in their career in the state’s history. If Brott and Hatheway can continue their success, they have a shot at joining some rather elite company.
