Campbell County senior Allison Granat will continue her swimming career in college after recently signing with Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD.

Granat was a two-time all-state swimmer and four-year letter winner for the Camels.

She won the 100-backstroke event at the 2020 Class 4A state championships in a time of 1:00.03. Granat also swam the anchor leg on the state championship 200 medley relay in the same meet. Her effort helped Campbell County finish in third place as a team.

At the 2021 state championships last November, Granat was runner-up in the 100-freestyle race. Her time was 53.80 seconds, only 0.54 seconds behind the winner. Granat led off the title-winning 200 medley relay and anchored the victorious 200 freestyle relay. Campbell County finished third in the team standings.

In her sophomore year at the 2019 state championships, she made the finals in the 50 and 100 freestyle races and swam on two relays for the Camels. Granat swam the 100-freestyle and 100-backstroke events, plus was on two relays as a freshman at the state swim meet in 2018.

Augustana University is at the Division II level of intercollegiate athletics. The Vikings compete as members of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
