Here we go! The Wyoming High School golf season in 2025 begins during the second full week of August. There are four events over three days during Week 1. This begins the six-week fall season. This year leads up to championship events in Douglas (Class 2A), Cody (Class 3A), and Cheyenne (Class 4A) on Sept. 19 and 20, 2025.

WYOPREPS WEEK 1 GOLF SCHEDULE 2025

Here is the schedule for Week 1 of the golf season. All schedules are subject to change. If you have an update, you can email david@wyopreps.com. The results will be posted below each event.

Wednesday, Aug. 13:

Douglas Invite – at Douglas C.C., 10 a.m. – Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Douglas, Glenrock, Kelly Walsh, Laramie, Natrona County, Rawlins, Riverton, Thermopolis, Torrington, Wheatland.

Tylynn McDonald from Riverton and Haylee Nelson of Wheatland share the girls' clubhouse lead after round one. Wheatland's Tate Nichols tied the course record with a 62 to take the boys' lead. The Wheatland girls and the Wheatland and Laramie boys have the team leads.

Star Valley Invitational – at Valli Vue G.C., 10 a.m. – Evanston, Green River, Jackson, Kemmerer, Lyman, Pinedale, Rock Springs.

Maddie Brown and TJ Atkinson have the clubhouse lead after the first round. The Evanston girls and Pinedale boys have the team lead.

 

Thursday, Aug. 14:

Douglas Invite – at Douglas C.C., 9 a.m. – Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Douglas, Glenrock, Kelly Walsh, Laramie, Natrona County, Rawlins, Riverton, Thermopolis, Torrington, Wheatland.

Maddie Brace pulled out a 7-stroke win on her home course. Wheatland's Tate Nichols won the boys' division by 11 shots. The Kelly Walsh girls and Wheatland boys finished 1st in the team standings.

Powell Invitational – at Powell G.C., 1 p.m. – Buffalo, Campbell County, Cody, Lander, Lovell, Powell, Sheridan, Ten Sleep, Thunder Basin, Worland.

Addie Bettinger of Buffalo has a 1-shot lead in the girls' division, and Jaxon Burr from Campbell County has a 3-shot lead in the boys. The Powell girls and Campbell County boys lead the team standings.

Star Valley Invitational – at Valli Vue G.C., 8 a.m. – Evanston, Green River, Jackson, Kemmerer, Lyman, Pinedale, Rock Springs.

Evanston's Madison Brown was the runaway winner in the girls' division by 28 strokes. TJ Atkinson held on for a 4-shot victory in the boys' division. The Evanston girls and Star Valley Crimson boys took the team titles.

 

Friday, Aug. 15:

Powell Invitational – at Powell G.C., 8:30 a.m. – Buffalo, Campbell County, Cody, Lander, Lovell, Powell, Sheridan, Ten Sleep, Thunder Basin, Worland.

Addie Bettinger of Buffalo cruised to a 14-shot victory as the girls' medalist. Jaxon Burr of Campbell County held off two teammates for a 3-shot win. The Camels swept the team titles.

Cedar Pines Invite at Upton – at Cedar Pines G.C. – Big Horn, Lusk, Moorcroft, Newcastle, Sundance, Tongue River, Wright.

Savannah Tremain and Easton Lewis of Tongue River were the medalists. Only the boys had team scores, and Upton pulled out the victory by 2 shots.
