Green River Wrestling Update 2-6-21 [VIDEO]

Green River narrowly lost the 4A team championship in wrestling in 2020 and this year, the Wolves plan on giving perennial champion Star Valley a run for their money in 3A.

A year ago, Green River won individual state champions at the first four weight classes. Tommy Dalton at 106, Dominic Martinez at 113, Clayson Mele at 120, and Kade Flores at 126. Missing from that group in 2021 is Mele who now competes in Vernal, Utah but the Wolves will certainly be tough at the lighter weights.

Martinez returns at 113 and Dalton has bumped up to 120 and they're both sound wrestlers from a technical point of view. At 138, Zach Weipert is a returning state placer who took 4th last year at the state tournament.

We caught up with Martinez and Dalton at the 4A conference duals in Casper over the weekend and there always looking to improve.
