The Hanna Miners have been blessed with a pair of superlative athletes in Conor and Shane McGraw. Conor was an all-state selection this past season averaging 17 points and 9 rebounds per game while Shane averaged a dozen points per contest. These guys solid performers in football and track too so they made Hanna formidable on the basketball court. The 1A state tournament wasn't very kind to the Miners as they lost big to Encampment in the quarterfinal round 77-48. Conor McGraw had 19 in that game with Shane contributing 11. Hanna went 0-2 at state as they were beaten by Burlington in the consolation round 66-52. Conor McGraw was sensational in that game with 25 points. The good news for the Miners is both of the McGraw boys will be back as seniors as well as Brenden Reeves who was a double-digit scorer this past season. Hanna has made the state tournament 4 years in a row after a stretch of 7 non-qualifying years.
