Shoshoni and St.Stephen's athlete Kaden Dower has elected to take his football skills to Chadron State in Nebraska. In 2019, he competed for St. Stephens in the 1A 6 Man ranks and rushed for 547 yards and 7 touchdowns. Dower had a 215-yard game running the football against Dubois and also had 27 tackles on defense, 6 of those for loss.

When St. Stephens did not play football in 2020, Dower played on the Shoshoni Wrangler squad in the 1A 9 Man division. He was an All-State running back with 753 yards on the ground with 10 touchdowns. His best rushing game was a 165-yard effort against Pine Bluffs. Dower also caught 15 balls for 276 yards and 3 touchdowns. On defense, he rang up 52 tackles and 10 sacks.

Dower also has been successful in track and field and is one of the few athletes who competed in the sprints and the weight throws. In 2019, he ran for Western Heritage and won the 1A state championship in the 100 meters in 11.65 and took first in the 200 meters with a clocking of 23.68. In that same state meet, Dower placed 4th in the shot-put with a throw of 42-6 and took 9th in the discus with a toss of 120-9.

More than a few players from Wyoming have signed with Chadron State which is a Division II school that plays in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
