So what else is new? The Kaycee Bucs made it to the state tournament which is practically an annual occurrence. Over the past 25 years, this program has made it to the state tournament 23 times which is a testament to consistency.

This year, Kaycee began state tournament play with a 1st round loss to eventual state champion Saratoga 50-43. Dion Ealy led the way with 22 points on 8-16 from the field with Jarrett Humble contributing 11. In the consolation round, the Bucs rallied from 17 points down to upend St. Stephens 70-69 in overtime. Ealy had a tremendous game with 26 points and also pulled down 14 rebounds. Harley Davis was also in double figures with 13 as the Bucs outscored the Eagles 23-9 in the 4th quarter.

Kaycee concluded the season with a 42-29 victory over Lingle-Fort Laramie to finish 21-7. Once again, it was Ealy on top of the scoring page with 13 along with 8 rebounds. Ethan Devlin had 10. Dion Ealy made all-state for the 2nd consecutive year as he averaged 16 points and 8 rebounds per game. Jarrett Humble who threw in 14 a game was named all-conference as well a Rhys Stafford. Ealy and Humble were both seniors so that will be a lot to replace in the 2020-21 season. But Stafford and Devlin return as seniors with Harley Davis returning as a junior.
