Casper-Kelly Walsh posted a record of 23-3 this past season and won the 4A state championship for the 2nd time in the last 3 years. The Trojans were a senior-heavy group with a total of 6 and that experience really helped. One of those seniors was Davion McAdam and he averaged 23 points a game for the Trojans but he wasn't a one-man show by any means. In the quarterfinal round of the 4A State Tournament, KW had their hands full with Cheyenne Central and prevailed 55-50. The Trojans went 3-14 from 3 point land but did get 21 points from McAdam and 11 from Ross Padilla. In the semi-final round, it turned out to be a classic game with Cheyenne East with the Trojans winning that one 70-63. There were combined 43 points in the 4th quarter with McAdam netting 22 and Kade Marsh chipping in 17. The 4A title game saw Kelly Walsh knock off Gillette 60-36 in a contest the Trojans led by as many as 24. McAdam led the way yet again with 27 and Isaiah Wiggins contributing 11. This program has turned their fortunes around after going a combined 4-46 in the 2009-10 & 2010-11 seasons.
