KW’s Makenna Lorenzen Signs with Casper College for Volleyball
Kelly Walsh volleyball player MaKenna Lorenzen will be staying at home as she will join the Casper College program. Lorenzen was an all-state selection in 4A from her libero/defensive specialist spot with 350 digs, 407 chances, and 62 aces. Kelly Walsh ended up 4th at this year's State Tournament but won the 4A championship in 2022 going 34-1. In that season, Lorenzen had 247 digs and 450 receiving chances with just 17 errors. She also contributed 38 aces.
Lorenzen also competes on the Trojan track team both indoors and outdoors. In the 2023 indoor season. her 4x200 relay team won the 4A state championship, the 4x400 team placed 2nd at state and 4th in the 1600 sprint medley. In the outdoor track season, her 4x100 meter relay team placed 3rd at the 4A State Meet and 9th in the 1600 sprint medley.
Casper College is coming off a 10th-place finish at the National Junior College Championships in Hutchinson, Kansas.
