In a battle of the #1 and #2 ranked teams in 1A 9-Man football, Lingle-Fort Laramie got to 7-0 on the year and handed Pine Bluffs their first loss of the season 30-27 in Lingle on Friday. This was an evenly matched team with individual excellence from both squads and that's the kind of effort that you want to see.

Lingle has some gifted offensive players, such as Louden Bremer and Kaiden Riggs. Bremer had a touchdown catch from Brady Cook that went for 32 yards and an 11-yard run to the end zone. Riggs had a 9-yard run for a score and also ran in a 2-point try. Anthony Arnusch had an all-important field goal to give the Doggers their winning margin.

Pine Bluffs has received an all-star season from Carsten Freeburg who reeled off touchdown runs of 30, 5, and 65 yards. Jesus Solis contributed a 53-yard for a TD. The Hornets gave LFL all they could handle and a rematch in the playoffs will be highly anticipated

Lingle-Fort Laramie will host Saratoga to wrap up the regular season and the Doggers have already clinched the #1 seed from the East in the 9-Man classification. Pine Bluffs will host Southeast this week and if the Hornets win, they will be the #2 seed from the East. A loss would drop them to the #3 seed.
