Lovell Gets by Worland for 3rd in a Row in 2A Football
The Lovell football team started the season slow with a pair of losses but now the Bulldogs have won 3 straight after a 28-7 victory in Worland on Friday night. Lovell came out of the gate quickly with 2 first-quarter touchdowns. The first one was a 14-yard touchdown connection from Davin Crosby to Owen Walker and the 2nd one was Crosby finding Matthew Newman for 47 yards and a score.
Each team found the end zone in the 2nd quarter as Walker caught another TD ball that went for a dozen yards and Worland's Colt Weber tossed a 39-yard touchdown pass to Will Slaigle but the Warriors trailed 21-7 at the halftime intermission.
After a scoreless 3rd quarter, Lovell's Braxton Felkins ran it in from the 4-yard line to make it 28-7 and that's the way it stayed. The Bulldogs are 3-2 so far this season and will host Pinedale on Friday. Worland saw their 3-game winning streak come to an end so the Warriors are 3-2. They have a big-time challenge this week with a Friday afternoon game at Mountain View.
