Natrona County School Districts 1A School at Midwest gives students more opportunities to play sports in high school and compete all over the state in football, volleyball, basketball, golf and track.  Without a home court advantage for sports during this 2016-2017 year they still were successful on field or courts during the fall and winter sports programs and were recognized as some of the best.  There were 10 athletes who received recognition for their hard work and dedication this past year.  These 10 athletes are the toughest of them all.  Overcoming adversity, and standing out to become some of the best players in the state of Wyoming.  The football team made the playoffs, volleyball team was second at regionals which gave them a chance to compete at state, and the boys and girls basketball teams qualified for regionals but just fell short of their state goal.  Midwest School strives to give students more opportunities to keep themselves engage in school.  Approximately 70% of Midwest Students participate in sports and 23% of those student-athletes were recognized as All-Conference and All-State players.
