It was Oil Bowl II in Casper on Friday night as Natrona played host to cross-town rival Kelly Walsh in the quarterfinal round of the 4A football playoffs. NC was the 4th seed and KW the 5th seed with Natrona drawing first blood in this game thanks to a 16-yard run for a touchdown from Tyler Palermo. The Mustangs followed that up with a 73-yard TD connection from Kanai Olsen to Gage Brooks so it turned into a 14-point lead in that opening quarter

Kelly Walsh got on the board in the 2nd quarter on a field goal so it was 14-3 at the intermission. Olsen bolstered the Natrona lead as he reeled off a 40-yard run to the end zone in the 3rd quarter and linebacker/tight end  Tucker Sides caught a 7-yard touchdown pass. KW's Xzavier Harris had a 21-yard TD gallop but it wasn't enough as Natrona prevailed 28-10.

NC will now face #1 Sheridan on the road on Saturday afternoon. The Mustangs will go into that game with a record of 7-3. Kelly Walsh finishes the season at 4-6, the most victories in a single season they've had in 4 years.
