Casper-Natrona got back on the winning track in 4A Football after 3 straight losses as they pounded Laramie on Friday night in Casper 41-15. NC opened the scoring with a 2-yard run for a touchdown from quarterback Kanai Olsen. Laramie answered with a 1st quarter field goal and Natrona responded with a 1-yard TD plunge from Tyler Palermo so the Mustangs led 14-3.

There was just one score in the 2nd quarter and that came from Natrona's Rogan Potter on a 4-yard TD catch to bump the advantage to 20-3. In the 3rd quarter, Laramie quarterback Fisher Frude gave the Plainsmen some life with a short touchdown run after a turnover so it was 20-9. Natrona came right back as Olsen got into the end zone from 8 yards out so the lead advanced to 26-9. Laramie had a trick up their sleeves as receiver Mat Alexander threw a touchdown pass to Noah Reese that covered 23 yards but was the last of the scoring for the Plainsmen.

Gage Brooks added a 4th quarter touchdown with a 15-yard reception and Nomar Gonzoles had a 90-yard interception return for a touchdown. Natrona gets to 3-3 on the season and will face Kelly Walsh in the annual Oil Bowl on Friday. Laramie is 1-5 and in danger of not making the playoffs but will get a break and play winless Cheyenne South this week.
