Casper-Natrona golfer Cheyenne Ward will continue her playing career at the next level as she has signed with Central Wyoming College in Riverton. Back in the fall, Ward won the 4A girls' State Championship with rounds of 82 and 83, She edged Gabi Wright of Sheridan by a single stroke and nailed a 30-foot putt on the final hole to win the title. Ward had a tremendous regular season and finished 2nd at the 4A West regional tournament.

In her junior year, Ward placed 4th at the 4A State Tournament, carding rounds of 77 and 80. She finished 11 strokes off the pace behind Samantha Spielman of Sheridan. As a sophomore, Ward was 18th at the 4A Girls State Tournament, and needless to say, she has displayed substantial improvement since then.

Central Wyoming is a junior college and is one of 3 Region IX programs that competes in women's golf.
