Thunder Basin distance runner Patrick Hardesty will continue his athletic journey at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg. At the 2025 Indoor State Track, Hardesty turned in a strong performance with a 2nd place finish in the 800 in 1.58.88, taking 3rd in the 3200 in 9.37.44, and 6th in the 1600 in 4.31.71. Plus, his Bolts 4x800 relay team made the podium as the 2nd-place finisher.

At the 2025 Outdoor State Track Meet in Casper, Hardesty earned major points for his team, taking 6th in both the 800 and the 3200, along with finishing 9th in the 1600. Thunder Basin's 4x800 relay squad took 4th. In his junior season at the State Outdoor meet, Hardesty was 8th in the 3200, 10th in the 800 meters, and 15th in the 1600. His 4x8 relay team had a strong 4th-place finish.

Hardesty had a pair of top 20 finishers at the State Cross Country Meet. taking 12th in 2024 in 17.03.64 and 16th as a junior in 2023 with a clocking of 17.15.31

Central Missouri is a Division II institution that is a member of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association.
