In her freshman and sophomore seasons, Peterson placed fifth at state in the shot put. As a junior in 2023, Manaia was third in the shot put and third in the discus.

Her top career marks are 36-5.50 in the shot put at last year’s state championships. Peterson’s toss of 122-08 last week was a career-best. According to Athletic.net, her discus toss is the second-best in school history, and she sits third in the shot put.
