Regional volleyball tournaments start on Friday state-wide and in 1A, not every team qualifies for regionals. So there are a handful of play-in games featuring teams that have not enjoyed great seasons. That doesn't stop them from playing hard and displaying superior sportsmanship. Fort Washakie lost their play-in game to Meeteetse in 1A  25-11, 25-18, and 25-6 to finish the year at 4-18. But the Eagles did win their regular season finale over Ten Sleep 3 sets to one.

Now Ten Sleep played just 12 matches this year and went 0-12 but the Pioneers showed some fortitude on their home court in the last regular season match. Even though they were defeated 25-18, 25-19, 25-27, and 25-18, they did win their first set of the year. Athletics can be challenging, to say the least, and even in tough times, both of these schools handled it with class.
