Kemmerer and Glenrock hooked up to kick off the 2A football season and both programs want to make big-time improvements. Kemmerer went 2-6 a year ago and Glenrock went 1-7 so something had to give on Friday night.

Kemmerer got the ball rolling with a 15-yard run for a touchdown from Cole Rogers which put the Rangers in front for good at 7-0 in the opening quarter of play. Kemmerer added to their lead with an 8-yard run for a score from Gabriel Emery and both Rogers and Emery had more to contribute to this game.

Rogers had a 60-yard gallop to the end zone in the 4th quarter and Emery found the end zone from 5 yards out. Glenrock's lone score came in the final stanza as Brady Dona found JD Holman for 6 yards and a touchdown but it wasn't enough as the Herders fell in this game 25-7.

Glenrock will host a good Tongue River team on Friday night while Kemmerer hits the road for Thermopolis. In our gallery below, we have some great photos of the game courtesy of Annette Johnson. Enjoy!
