One of the more compelling games in Wyoming high school football was in 1A 9-Man as defending state champion Pine Bluffs played host to Lingle Fort Laramie. Entering the contest, both teams were 6-0 and the game started out great for Pine Bluffs with a 1st quarter touchdown run from Ryan Mohren that covered 2 yards and Mohren followed that up with a 4-yard run for a TD in the 2nd quarter. He added a 15-yard run for a score in the 3rd quarter so the Hornets led 24-0 after 3 quarters of play.

Lingle-Fort Laramie didn't give up and went wild in the 4th quarter. Louden Bremer reeled off a 30-yard for a touchdown and then added a 14-yard scamper for a TD. Colt Brown continued the Dogger scoring with a 21-yard run to the end zone and with a trio of successful two-point tries, LFL tied the game at 24.

The game went into overtime and Lingle-Fort Laramie scored first on a 10-yard TD from Brown and the Hornets answered with a scoring pass from Justin Lerwick to Mitchell Birkhofer. Pine Bluffs went for 2 and the win but were stopped short, giving LFL a 31-30 victory.

The Doggers are now 7-0 in the 9-Man East and secured a #1 seed in the playoffs. They'll conclude the regular season on Friday in Saratoga. Pine Bluffs is 6-1 and the Hornets will have a tough game on Friday afternoon at Southeast. A Pine Bluffs win would give them the 2nd seed in the East. A loss could put the Hornets in the #3 or #4 spot from the East for the post-season tournament.
