Pine Bluffs won it all in 1A 9-Man football in 2022 and has lost just one game over the course of two seasons. The Hornets started this year off with a solid win over Shoshoni and followed that up with a 76-0 victory over Guernsey-Sunrise.

Pine Bluffs didn't waste any time getting into the end zone as Jesus Solis ran it in from 10 yards out and that was just the beginning, Solis by the way had 108 yards rushing in the contest. That TD was followed by another one, this time from Ryan Mohren from 3 yards away to bump the lead to 14-0 in the opening quarter of play.

It was all Hornets in the 2nd quarter as Justin Lerwick threw 2 touchdown passes. One went to Travis Lerwick covering 25 yards and the next one to Shawn Shmidl that was good for 65 yards. Sandwiched in between that  an 18-yard run to the house from Mohren and an option pass from Wyatt Carter to Mitchell Birkhofer that went for 10 yards and a score. Pine Bluffs took a 42-0 lead into the locker room at halftime.

in the 3rd quarter, Justin Lerwick ran in it from 4 yards out followed by a 20-yard fumble return for a TD from Grady Buckenforf and Solis rang up his 2nd touchdown of the game.

In the final quarter, Abe Serrano caught a TD pass from Cartsen Freeburg for 38 yards and Ty Scarborough had a 1-yard plunge to the end zone. Pine Bluffs is 2-0 and will be in Wright on Friday. Guernsey sits at 1-1 after a season-opening win over Wyoming Indian. The Vikings will host Lingle-Fort Laramie on Friday.
