PhotoFest Rewind! Girls State Wrestling Tournament

As the end of the calendar year approaches, we want to look back at some of the state-culminating events. We' 'll start with the State Girls Wrestling Tournament in Casper back in February with Star Valley repeating as the team champions. Pinedale was 2nd, Sheridan 3rd, Kemmerer 4th and Wind River 5th.

Individually, McKinzie Mortensen of Pinedale was a repeat state champion as well as Wheatland's Ariel Kumelos, Josie Houk of Lingle-Fort Laramie, and Sheridan's Becca Oetken.

Girls wrestling is growing in popularity and participation by leaps and bounds so it should be a very interesting season in 2024-25. We have a group of photos to share from the State Tournament, which can be located in our gallery below. Enjoy!
