PhotoFest: Thunder Basin Downs Campbell County in Volleyball

The high school season is rolling along with regionals and the state tournament right around the corner. Gillette has a pair of formidable teams in Thunder Basin and Campbell County and they squared off on Thursday.

It was a super competitive match with Thunder Basin prevailing in 4 sets. 21-25, 25-20, 25-23 and 25-21. The Bolts improved to 24-4 on the year and the Camels fell to 20-7. Both teams figure to be state tournament qualifiers out of the 4A East along with Laramie and Cheyenne East.

Both Gillette squads will be on the road in Cheyenne this weekend. Thunder Basin will play Cheyenne Central on Friday and Campbell County takes on Cheyenne East. The teams will flip-flop opponents for Saturday's matches.
