The weather certainly played a factor in a number of football playoff games over the weekend and in Pavillion, Wind River and Lusk took on the cold and the snow-covered field in their 1A 9-Man playoff game. Wind River has been sharp this season and took over right from the get-go, Cooper Frederick had an 8-yard run for a touchdown and the successful two-point try, and the Cougars led for good at 8-0. Chris Burk followed that up with a 32-yard run to the house to bump the lead to 14 and Frederick added 2 more rushing touchdowns in the 2nd quarter.

Brayden Tatro had a 45-yard gallop to the end zone in the 2nd quarter and caught a 49-yard pass in the 3rd quarter. Burk added 2 more scores in the 2nd half and Frederick scored for the 3rd time. Jacob Hardcastle recorded the Cougar's final touchdown and the only Lusk score of the contest came on a 58-yard kick-off return for a touchdown by Raynce Brott.

Wind River wins this one going away 68-6 to get to 9-0 on the year. They will host Southeast in the 1A 9-Man semi-finals on Friday at 2 p.m. Lusk concludes their season with a record of 4-5.
