What else is new? Pine Bluffs put a great team in the court yet again, finishing 2nd at the state tournament following a hard-fought, double-overtime loss to Wyoming Indian. In that 2A title game, Tucker Norman was incredible with 27 points and 12 rebounds as he went 12-19 from the field. Those are not easy numbers to put up. The Hornets began tournament play with a 74-29 win over Kemmerer as Michael Shain chucked in 27 and Justus Goldberg had 13. Pine Bluffs went 10-34 from the 3 point line in that game. In the 2A semi-final round, The Hornets outlasted a very good Rocky Mountain team 58-45. Shain led the way with 18 and Norman had 14. Pine Bluffs lost just 2 games this past season and had a few all-state selections. Norman was solid all year long averaging 15 points per game and Shain was the same, averaging 16 points a contest. Andrew Fornstrum was extremely valuable from the guard position. Both Norman and Fornstrum were seniors so they will be hard to replace. But Shain and Golding will be seniors next season.
