Pine Bluffs Downs Upton for Spot in 2A Boys Title Game

The Pine Bluffs boys have sailed through the season and the now find themselves in the 2A state championship game against Wind River following a 60-49 win over Upton on Friday night at the Casper Events Center. Pine Bluffs at one time had a 16 point lead in the game but Upton put together a nice run to cut the gap to 6. The Hornets asserted themselves down the stretch to get to 25-1 on the year. Haize Fornstrum was a monster for Pine Bluffs with 33 points, 16 of those coming in the first half. He was 15-29 from the field and also pulled down 11 rebounds. Upton was led by Payton Watt with 18 and Clayton Louderbeck with 13. The Bobcats are 20-7 on the year and will be the consolation bracket on Saturday.
