Pine Bluffs Runs by Guernsey in 1A 9-Man Football

Pine Bluffs is off to a great start in 1A 9-Man football with a pair of dominating performances so far in 2024. The Hornets started the season with a 45-6 win at Shoshoni and followed that up with a 70-6 road win over Guernsey this past week. Pine Bluffs has been productive at the quarterback spot with Carsten Freeburg and former quarterback Justin Lerwick has been solid at the wide receiver spot. Last season, Pine Bluffs beat Guernsey 76-0.

The Vikings are in a rebuilding mode after a 1-7 season a year ago. Guernsey is in its 3rd season of 9-Man football after playing many years at the 6-Man level. This week, Pine Bluffs will play their 3rd straight road game as they travel to Wright. Guernsey who lost to Wyoming Indian to start the season sits at 0-2 and will have their hands full with a good Lingle-Fort Laramie team on Friday.
