Pine Bluffs senior Stuart Lerwick joined the 1,000-point club last weekend during action at the Burns Winter Classic.

Lerwick is a three-sport star for the Hornets. He is a two-time all-state basketball player at PBHS.

The senior is averaging 19.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game and has guided Pine Bluffs to a 3-1 start to their 2022-23 season. They are ranked No. 1 in the latest WyoPreps Coaches and Media Boys Basketball Poll.

Last season, Lerwick helped the Hornets to a 24-3 record and the Class 2A boys basketball state championship. He averaged 20.6 points and 9.1 rebounds per game during his junior season.

As a sophomore, he averaged 14.3 points and 6.1 rebounds per game.

Lerwick also plays football and competes in track and field. Earlier this year, he led Pine Bluffs to the 2022 Class 1A-9 Man football state title. Lerwick was selected as the 9-man Offensive Player of the Year.

In track and field, as a junior Lerwick qualified for the state meet in three events and placed third in the 2A triple jump last spring.
