There was a time where the Pinedale boys basketball team had a hard time winning. From 2011 to 2015, the Wranglers won a grand total of 3 games. How things have changed. Pinedale was 17-11 this past season with a state tournament appearance. Danny Gosar was an all-state pick and had a solid Wyoming Coaches Association all-star game. He averaged 15 points a game and Blake Iloway averaged 16. He was an all-state selection as well. The Wranglers did lose their quarterfinal round game at the 3A state tournament to Pinedale 64-51 but Illoway was sensational with 23 points and was 8-8 from the free-throw line. Pinedale really took it to Torrington in the consolation round 74-44 and at one point led by 38. Gosar led the Wranglers with 16, Illoway had 15 and Tyler VanEtten had 11. But it was a rough way to end the season as Pinedale lost to Worland in the 5th place game 57-33 as Iloway was in double figures with 13. This team loses a lot of their scoring due to graduation so there's going to be a rebuilding and reloading job in Pinedale for next season.
